Mumbai’s culture vultures can enjoy different solo
plays
at the on-going
ONEderland theatre festival
in the city. This nine-day event, which gives theatre artistes a platform to present their work, is an initiative to promote solo performances on stage. What’s playing: There will be monologues like 'Prashn Panchali', where Preeta Mathur Thakur will enact various characters from the Mahabharata like Kunti, Draupadi, Krishna and Duryodhan. 'O! Frida', a multilingual play by Krutika Deo will showcase the life and works of the late Mexican artist Frida Kahlo. In 'Hum Bihar Mai Chunav Ladh Rahe Hai', a satire based on the stories of Harishankar Parsai, Vijay Kumar will comment on Indian politics, while 'Chocolate Fudge', performed by Laxmi Birajdar will bring to you a refreshing tale of youthful angst and daydreaming.
