AMBERNATH: Three persons have been arrested over the alleged killing of a cable operator Mangesh Lanjekar (45), on Thursday in Ambernath.
The arrested accused are Ravindra Gunjal (38), Ganesh Gunjal (20) and Sachin Dhotre (20). All three are residents of Ambernath.
The police said that the motive for the murder appeared to be business rivalry. Shivaji Rathod, deputy commissioner of police, zone 4 said, "The main accused, Ravindra, was a former employee of the victim and had started his own cable business.
This led to a dispute between the two."
It was Ravindra who had plotted and executed the plan to kill Lanjekar, the police said. A manhunt is on for more persons involved in the attack.
