US subsidiary files for bankruptcy
Mumbai: Byju’s US subsidiary Alpha has filed for bankruptcy in a US court after it defaulted on a $1.2-billion debt. According to a court website, the Chapter 11 petition (a type of bankruptcy filed by companies which involves a reorganisation of their assets and debt) was filed on Feb 1. tnn
