Bridge collapses in Malad, 3 injured

A 'kachcha' bridge commonly used by two-wheeler vehicles in Malad (west) collapsed on Sunday evening, injuring three people.

MUMBAI: A 'kachcha' bridge commonly used by two-wheeler vehicles in Malad (west) collapsed on Sunday evening, injuring three people.
At around 7.45pm, BMC disaster management officials were informed that a bridge between Malad Evershine Nagar and Lagoon Road collapsed. Three people were reported injured in the incident.
Out of 3 injured, 18-year-old Akash Bhandari's condition is stable in the hospital.

Another two - Riyaz Khan and Asif Gori, were treated and discharged, according to Shatabdi hospital sources.
The local ward office staff and fire brigade officials are at the site trying to clear the traffic and debris.
