MUMBAI: Khar Police registered an FIR against a Bollywood actor after a woman accused him of molesting her at his suburban residence. Police said they are investigating further and are yet to make any arrests.
The 32-year-old woman is a digital content creator. She told the police that the actor reached out to her via social media. The woman confirmed his identity by asking him to make a video call to her. He then called her to a location in Khar West for a discussion regarding a shoot.
On November 26, the woman went to the location and discovered that it was the actor's residential apartment. She told the police that an elderly man opened the door to the apartment. She further stated that she was horrified to find the actor nude in his bedroom. She immediately told him to dress up as she wasn't comfortable. She complained that he hugged her forcibly and touched her inappropriately. After she left the apartment and reached home, he also sent her an obscene image over WhatsApp.
Khar Police registered an FIR on November 27. However, when TOI reached out to the actor, he said the incident never happened. "I flew down from New York to Kolkata for the death anniversary of a family member," he said.
