Mumbai: BMC chief drags Twitter user to court for false post

MUMBAI: Advocate Sunil Sonawane from the legal cell of

BMC

commissioner

Iqbal Chahal

filed a police complaint against a Twitter user,

Sameet Thakkar

, for posting that Chahal will be probed by the Income Tax department over irregularities.

Following the complaint the

Azad Maidan

police registered a non-cognisable offence against Thakkar on Saturday for spreading false information about the BMC chief.
