Bihar police complained about conduct Mumbai cops

The Bihar director general of police Abhaya Anand has complained about the conduct of the city crime branch officials while arresting Abdul Qadir Ansari dashed out a letter to the Maharashtra DGP Sanjeev Dayal complaining about the Mumbai crime branch officials.

MUMBAI: The Bihar director general of police Abhaya Anand has complained about the conduct of the city crime branch officials while arresting Abdul Qadir Ansari dashed out a letter to the Maharashtra DGP Sanjeev Dayal complaining about the Mumbai crime branch officials.
The letter which has also been forwarded to the Mumbai police commissioner Satyapal Singh states that the Mumbai crime branch official while arresting Abdul Qadir Ansari from Bihar had not taken the local police in loop.

The crime branch had last week arrested Ansari from Bihar in connection with the vandalizing of Amar Jawant Jyot the 1857 memorial outside the BMC headquarters in August 11 Azad Maidan violence.
It states that it is mandatory for the one state police to inform and even take assistance of the local police in arresting any suspects in that respective area. The letter said that due to such Mumbai police operation there could have been a major law and order problem in the area.
This is second time that the Mumbai police have arrested somebody from Bihar and have not informed the local police. The senior crime branch officials were seen giving interviews to the media channels regarding the arrest of Ansari involved in the Amar Jawan Jyot Memorial but remained unavailable to Bihar police.'' the letter said. Dayal refused to comment on the issue saying that he will reply to the Bihar police appropriately.
