When Pediya did not return till late night, Mansi, his wife, lodged a missing person complaint at the Bhoiwada police station.
Bhoiwada police senior inspector Vikram Patil said Pediya's wife in the report mentioned that her husband left home in the morning. Mansi went searching for him only late evening when he did not return home."So far Pediya's wife has not complained against any person or private developer," said Bhoiwada police senior inspector Vikram Patil.
He added, "Some talks were going on, with several developers, about the redevelopment of Pediya's residence. So far, no builder has made headway as far as the redevelopment is concerned, hence the speculation that he may have been kidnapped does not arise. However, investigations are on."
