Prevention is better than cure

- Watch out for symptoms such as rashes, swelling of limbs, muscle cramps, fever, yellowish urine, weakness and fainting.
Recognizing and responding to heatstroke
Heatstroke can worsen existing medical conditions. If someone—especially in a public place—experiences dizziness, nausea, headaches, extreme thirst, rapid breathing, or an increased heart rate, immediately move them to a shaded area and provide water, advises a health expert.
Avoid peak heat hours
One of MMR’s municipal corporations has advised residents to avoid stepping out between 12pm and 3pm to minimize heat exposure.
