MUMBAI: The police on Sunday morning found the body of a 22-year-old bar dancer at her residence. The police said unidentified assailants had slit her throat. Police suspect the deceased, Manju Thakur, was killed a few days ago.
Neighbours informed the police, who broke open the door of her residence around 10.30 am. The incident took place at Chembur Camp, where Thakur resided with three friends.
She was working at Harmony bar. The police found her decomposed body in the room. There were deep injuries on her neck and police suspect some sharp object was used to kill her. Her body has been sent for post-mortem to Rajawadi Hospital.
The police are trying to trace her roommates, who have not been seen since May 25.
