Bank auditor’s bail plea rejected

A special court rejected the bail plea of a 48-year-old bank auditor, arrested almost two years back in PMC Bank scam case. HDIL allegedly did not repay loans of Rs 4,335 crore.
The court said the fact that the accused was a woman could not be sole grounds to grant bail. It said Anita Kirdat was an expert in carrying out an audit and she was expected to submit a fair report showing the bank’s financial condition and point out siphoning of loan amount.
