A six-month-old girl, the only one who survived a stove blast at her home in Satara, is battling for life at Byculla's Masina Hospital.

MUMBAI: A six-month-old girl, the only one who survived a stove blast at her home in Satara, is battling for life at Byculla'sMasina Hospital.
The incident took place a month ago, when Sanskruti's mother was cooking. Her father rushed to save her mother and got burnt.
Sanskruti sustained 25% burns after the woman's saree fell on her.
The parents succumbed to injuries.

Sanskruti was brought here on Monday.
"Her skull is burnt," said Dr Sunil Abhyankar, plastic surgeon. "There were burns on her face-but they have somewhat healed. There are burns on her left thigh and legs too," he said.
The third-degree burns have caused an infection. "She is malnourished, has chest infection, her haemoglobin is low and she is dehydrated. She has been running a temperature," said Dr Abhyankar. tnn
Sanskruti's grandmother has been tending to the girl. However, coming from a poor family, the woman is finding it difficult to sustain.
