MUMBAI: Five teams of the Mumbai Crime Branch are carrying out search operations in Haryana and Rajasthan in connection with the Baba Siddique murder case.
According to Mumbai Police officials, the firearms used in Siddique’s assassination were procured from Rajasthan.
Meanwhile, dedicated teams have been dispatched to Haryana to apprehend Zeeshan Akhtar, the mastermind of the murder.
The crime branch has recovered another pistol from Rupesh Mohol's house in Pune, marking the fifth weapon recovered in this murder case.
The crime branch is still searching for one more weapon and three live cartridges, according to Mumbai Police.
NCP leader Baba Siddique was shot dead outside his son Zeeshan's office in Bandra, Mumbai on October 12.
