"I don't know why no action was taken in 2018 when we filed the complaint. I lost my husband and my mother-in-law. We have been going through a lot since the case was filed. We have received numerous threat calls and were stalked. I want justice for my husband," said Naik while speaking to the press on Wednesday.

She also said that the Raigad SP Anil Paraskar and senior PI Suresh Warade of Alibaug police station tried to dissuade them from pursuing the case and also pressurised them to sign the closure report without informing them what it meant. "They thought we can't read Marathi and wanted us to sign a paper which said we want to take back the case filed against Goswami and others. When we made noise, Warade snatched the paper from us and threw it. We were told till March this year that the investigation is going on. They were misguiding us all along," said Akshata.
