After Raj Thackeray’s objection, Railways correct Hindi name of station

Kalyan: After objections raised by Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) president Raj Thackeray, the railway administration has corrected the wrongly written Hindi name of Shahad railway station.On Friday, during his visit to Shahad, Thackeray met party workers near the railway station, where he noticed an error in the station's name displayed outside. While the name was correctly written as "Shahad" in both Marathi and English, in Hindi it was incorrectly written. Objecting to the mistake, Thackeray questioned the usage and directed his workers to take up the issue with the authorities.Following this, MNS workers led by Ulhasnagar district president Bandu Deshmukh submitted a letter to the railway authorities, demanding immediate correction of the Hindi spelling and warning of protests if the error was not rectified.Acting on the complaint, the railway administration on Monday corrected the Hindi spelling of the station's name, aligning it with the original pronunciation and the name of the locality.
