MUMBAI: It was an African sweep at Mumbai International marathon, when over 30,000 athletes took to the streets of the city.

<div class="section1"><div class="Normal">MUMBAI: It was an African sweep at Mumbai International marathon held on Sunday when over 30,000 athletes took to the streets of the city, including eminent athletes like Mike Powell and Michael Johnson.<br /><br />South African Hedrik Ramalla won the marathon with a timing of 2:15:47. Countryman Julius Sugut grabbed the second position with a timing of 2:16:36, followed by Tanzanian Lucian Timobo with a timing of 2:16:50.<br /><br />In women''s marathon, Poland''s Violetta Vrugya won in 2:47:53, followed by Judith Nigy in 2:49:50 and Belarus lady Natalia Jilufno in 2:50:24.<br /><br />Among Indians, K C Ramu, Ajit Singh and Sita Ram led a Services sweep with the winner getting an Indica car.<br /><br />Rural athlete Dhiraj from Dadri village district Gautam Buddha Nagar in Greater Noida was the best Indian woman performer <br /><br /><formid=367815></formid=367815></div> </div>
