Mumbai: Actor seeks discharge in porn case

MUMBAI: After businessman Raj Kundra, actor Vandana Ravindra Tiwari alias Gehana Vasisth too moved the magistrate’s court seeking discharge in a porn case. Vasisth was earlier arrested in the case and has been out on bail.

In her plea, she said that she was wrongly framed. “The applicant states that she is a director who makes erotic movies which are very well permissible in India…. for publication on internet there is no censorship in India for OTT platform,” her plea said.

She said that entire chargesheet was merely based on allegations, without any substantial proof or evidence. “The applicant submits that as a director, she was a content maker and not a distributor.” the plea said.
