MUMBAI: Three men were arrested on Thursday by the crime branch (Unit XI) on charges of vehicle theft.
During interrogations, the three, Sarvar Fateh Khan (23), Mohammad Nasir Qureshi (21) and Mohammad Farukh Qureshi (34), revealed the modus operandi of the gang. They would first get hold of keys of trucks and duplicate them. ���When truck-drivers would unload goods from their vehicles and step out for a tea-break, the members of the gang would get into the vehicle.

Using the the duplicate keys, they would drive away,������ said senior inspector Firoz Patel. The stolen lorries would then be sent to Gujarat where the gang���s kingpin would received them, the police said.
All three have five cases registered against them in the city and Khan has one case in Uttar Pradesh. There is another case registered against the gang with the Tilak Nagar police.
The three have been charged under Sections 379 and 34 of the IPC for theft.
