24-year-old knifes her stepfather, alleges sexual assaults by him in Maharashtra

VASAI: Fed-up with her stepfather's alleged sexual assaults, a 24-year-old woman used a kitchen knife and slashed him on the neck and chest on Monday afternoon. She also assaulted her on his private parts.
The police at Tulinj police station have confirmed that they would be filing an FIR against the stepdfather, who works as a mason, under charges of sexual assault and book the woman on the charges of attempt to murder.
On Monday afternoon, residents of Bavshet pada in Santosh Bhavan, Nalasopara East, were shocked to see a woman with a kitchen knife in her hand, with blood dripping from it, running after her stepfather, who was bleeding profusely.
He was later seen sitting in a corner of a dairy shop trying to stop blood flow with his bare hands while the girl was seen screaming that she had been raped by him.
The gathered locals tried to persuade her to calm down even as the cops arrived at the scene and took her into custody. The man was taken to a local govt hospital from where he was referred to a Mumbai hospital for tertiary treatment.
The police said that she come to Mumbai from her native place in Uttar Pradesh a few months ago, and was living with her mother and stepfather. She claimed her stepfather sexually assaulted her over the past three months.
