MUMBAI: President Droupadi Murmu on Tuesday appointed two new judges for Bombay High Court - Santosh Govindrao Chapalgaonkar and Milind Manohar Sathaye, both advocates. They have been appointed as additional judges in that order of seniority, for a period of two years with effect from the date they assume charge.

The new appointment takes the strength of HC judges to 66, still 28 short of its sanctioned strength.

Their names were recommended by the Supreme Court Collegium headed by ex-Chief Justice of India U U Lalit. Union law minister Kiren Rijiju posted on his social media handle his "best wishes to them.''
