MUMBAI: About 250 students from across India received their certificates while 15 of them were awarded gold medals for academic and professional excellence at TimesPro’s first student annual convocation held here on Saturday. The convocation ceremony marked three years of TimesPro, which has achieved a 95% placement record.
The graduates were felicitated by Arnab Goswami, president and editor-in-chief of Times Now and Economic Times Now (ET Now); Ranga Subramaniam vertical head, HR, sales channel, HDFC Bank; Anil Chopra, group chief executive officer (CEO) and director, Bajaj Capital; Amit Malik, chief people officer, Aviva Life Insurance India Ltd, and Dr Pawan Agarwal from the Dabbawala Association, among other memebers from the BFSI sector.

Former NSDC chairman Dilip Chenoy stressed on the importance of skill development and teamwork. “Students have to be goal-oriented and dedicated towards achieving them,” he said. Goswasmi advised the graduates to “jump into the unknown, disrupt ruthlessly and learn from one’s mistakes.” Agarwal said, “It is important to always plan in advance and account for unknown variables that may cause hindrance.”
Anish Srikrishna, president, Times Centre for Learning Limited, said, “Focusing on the nation’s mission to ‘Skill India’, and to educate our youngsters for infinite employment opportunities, TimesPro will deliver excellence in blended learning through technology and e-learning.”
He added that TimesPro will introduce programmes in digital marketing, big data analysis, media & entertainment, etc.
