1 dead, 5 hurt as truck rams into car on Mumbai-Pune Expresway

NAVI MUMBAI: One Pune resident was killed and fiver others were hurt, after a truck rammed into the car they were travelling in on the Mumbai-Pune Expresway around 1.15 am on Friday. The youths were headed to Alibaug for a picnic when the accident took place close to Adoshi village near Khopoli exit.
The deceased, Anand Shinde (22), was a resident of Bhosalewadi, Pune.The injured are Akshay Sakat (23), Nitin Namdev Shinde (24), Raj Doke (18), Salman Sayyad (24) and Sachin Kamble (30), all from Pune. The police has registered a case of rash and negligent driving causing death against the unidentified truck driver. The IRB agency’s ambulance rushed the injured to Khopoli municipal hospital.
