BIJNOR: A joint team of revenue, police, forest and irrigation departments led by sub-divisional magistrate Mohit Kumar and circle officer Anil Kumar reached Ravali Khadar area in Uttar Pradesh's Bijnor district on Wednesday and got standing wheat crop spread over 200 acres of government land on the banks of Ganga destroyed by running tractors over them in a bid to deter illegal farming.

They also booked four farmers in this connection. Departmental inquiry has also been set up against revenue department clerks for allowing locals to use government land, said SDM Mohit Kumar.
