The deceased have been identified as Anjal's father, Rishipal Singh (50), his uncle Shripal Singh (55) and aunt Beermati Devi (48).

Baghpat SP Arpit Vijayvargiya told TOI, "Primary investigation found that Anjal is a drug addict. He used to pick fights with the family over money to buy drugs. We suspect that Anjal killed the three as they would always refuse to give him money. Police are looking at all angles. A case has been registered on a complaint by the relatives."

On Wednesday morning, the accused reached his aunt's house in Sirsali village and told his cousins that he had killed the three siblings. The relatives informed the police about the triple murder around 11 am.

The police are conducting a thorough investigation into the matter, and the bodies have been sent for autopsy.
