Two die, one critical after speeding truck rams into car in Shamli
Muzaffarnagar: Two youth, aged 17 and 18 years, died, while another is battling for life after a speeding truck rammed into their car on Meerut-Karnal highway in Shamli's Taprana village, under Jhinjhana police station, on Saturday evening.
The truck driver abandoned the vehicle and fled the spot.
Police said the three youth hail from Taprana village.

The deceased were identified as Rihan and Shokeen.
Witnesses said the accident took place when the truck tried to overtake the car.
On being informed, police rushed to the spot and shifted the trio to the district hospital. Two of them were declared brought dead while the third one was sent to a higher centre in Meerut.
A case has been registered against the truck driver, said PK Sharma, SHO of
Jhinjhana police station. "The truck has been seized and a team pressed into service to nab the driver," he added.
