MEERUT: Several RLD workers welcomed Congress Leader Rahul Gandhi's Bharat Jodo Yatra as it resumed from Mavi Kala village in Baghpat on Wednesday.
Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD) chief Jayant Chaudhary supported Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Yatra in UP and wishing success for the 'yatris' on Tuesday.
In a tweet on Tuesday, Chaudhary wrote, “A salute to the yatris. May the yatra be meaningful. We hope that this campaign unites people in one thread.”
RLD national secretary Rajkumar Sangwan said, “Bharat Jodo Yatra is a good campaign. We welcome it. Several RLD leaders and workers of have welcomed the yatra in Baghpat."
From Ghaziabad, the yatra entered Mavi Kalan village in Baghpat district on Tuesday evening. It has halted for the night there. Congress leader Rahul Gandhi reached Mavi Kala Village early on Wednesday morning and the yatra began.
The yatra will cover Sisana, Sarurpur and Badaut and will then enter Elam village in Shamli district.
According to Congress party sources, Rahul Gandhi is likely to meet farmers in Baghpat.
