Muzaffarnagar: A 27-year-old woman who came to Muzaffarnagar in search of a job and held captive by human traffickers was rescued by police. on Tuesday morning after she managed to contact Dial 100 for help. She claimed that she was held captive at the house of a former village pradhan who repeatedly raped her and tried to sell her. She was also raped by his aide, she alleged.

A case of abduction and rape has been lodged against the pradhan and his aide at Charthawal police. Police are searching for the two who have fled.
Narrating her three-day ordeal, the survivor who is a single mother, said she is a resident of Shamli district. She came to Muzaffarnagar in search of a job to support herself and her five-year-old son. She was waiting at the bus stand to go home to Jhinjhana region of Shamli when a stranger befriended her.
Identified as Vipin Kumar, the man offered her a job and asked her to accompany him to Kasauli village, she claimed. There, he handed her over to Rajbeer Singh, a former village pradhan. She was held captive at his house. While he was trying to find a client to sell her, he repeatedly raped her, she claimed.
On Tuesday, she somehow managed to call Dial 100 for help. The police rushed over and rescued her. They took her to Charthawal police station where she lodged a complaint against Vipin Kumar and Rajbeer Singh.
Charthawal police station in charge KC Tomar said, &ldquo;The woman has been sent to hospital for a medical examine and a case has also registered under various IPC sections, including 376 (commits sexual assault, instigation into the matter is on ).
A policeman who did not wish to be named said Rajbeer was trying to sell her for Rs 20,000.
Raids have been conducted at several places to nab the offenders.
