Tarun said, “We were having our lunch when the principal gave me Rs 100 and asked me to bring meat. Later, he offered the meat to me and my brother Vansh. While I refused to have it, he forced my brother to eat it. I narrated the incident to my grandfather after returning home.”

SP (city) Ayush Vikram Singh said, “The teacher was arrested following complaint by the students’ kin, and further action will be taken accordingly.”

“As soon as the matter came to the fore, an inquiry was ordered. Basic Shiksha Adhikari (BSA) officials reached the primary school, where the accused teacher confessed he had fed non-vegetarian food at midday meals to five students. However, it’s being investigated whether he forced them to eat or offered. Additionally, bringing anything apart from a midday meal is not acceptable, owing to which the accused teacher has been suspended,” BSA Asha Chaudhary told TOI.
