Jayant Chaudhary, MLA Hasan attack BJP

: RLD’s Jayant Chaudhary and Kairana MLA Nahid Hasan launched a scathing attack on Yogi Adityanath and BJP at a public meeting in Kairana on Wednesday.

Nahid Hasan is the son of grand alliance candidate Tabassum Hasan who is pitched against BJP candidate Mriganka Singh, late MP Hukum Singh’s daughter.

Chaudhary

said, “Yogiji, when 13 children died in the east UP train accident, you did nothing except pointing fingers. But, this is western UP. If you point fingers here, the people of the area know how to break them.”

Chaudhary further alleged, “BJP ke logon ka mooh band karo inke ehankaar ko todo (Shut the mouths of these BJP leaders and break their ego.)”

Hasan too did not mince words in attacking BJP. He said, “Is this Ram Raj that Yogi boasts in UP where he cannot even control his own MLAs?”

He further said, “Amit Shah had promised to withdraw 2013 riot cases. Why they have not been able to do so? Give us votes, bridge the Hindu–Muslim divide engineered by BJP during the riots. I will mediate for an out-of-court settlement between the Hindus and Muslims and will script a new era of unity between the two communities. And I assure you, once it is done and all cases are settled, Sanjeev Balyan will have to leave his own party.”

Kairana Lok Sabha constituency will go for bypolls on May 28 along with Noorpur assembly constituency in Bijnor. Both seats fell vacant after the death of the sitting legislators, MP Hukum Singh (Kairana) and MLA Lokender Singh Chauhan (Noorpur). BJP has fielded the daughter and wife of the deceased leaders in order to garner sympathy votes.
