In Uttar Pradesh, woman raped in abandoned house, her 2 minor kids plead for mercy outside

SHAMLI: A 32-year-old woman was allegedly raped by a man in an abandoned house while her two minor children, aged 2 and 10 years, stood outside pleading for mercy.
The main accused and two of his accomplices had offered the woman and her kids a lift in his car to the nearby market on Sunday evening but instead drove to the deserted place and committed the crime in Shamli's Kairana area.
According to the FIR, the main accused, Mohd Shehzad, 25, whom the woman knew, offered them a lift in his car. Two of his accomplices were also present in the vehicle. Once the woman and her children boarded the car, Shehzad drove to an isolated place and forcible took the woman inside the abandoned house and raped her while the other two men stood guard outside with her children.
Luckily, when some passersby spotted the children and asked them what they were doing at the place, the men fled.
SHO Pankaj Tyagi on Monday evening told TOI, "The woman was sent for medical examination. The three men have been booked under IPC sections 376 (rape) and 120B (criminal conspiracy). Teams have been deployed to arrest the accused."
