UP: Honour killing? Youth, 24, killed on his first visit home after eloping & marrying

MEERUT

: A 24 years old youth was stabbed to death allegedly by his brother-in-law for eloping and marrying his sister against the wishes of her family in Meerut’s Kithore area on Monday morning.


Shravan had returned home for the first time since the marriage, which took place about a year ago. He worked in a private company. Koshendra, the accused, has been arrested after an

Superintendent of police (rural) Keshav Kumar said, “Shravan had married a woman from Kithor’s Ghesupur village over a year ago and had been living away since then. He was stabbed to death on his return to home."
