Meerut: Bharatiya kisan Union (BKU) head Naresh Tikait held a press conference hours after

BKU

's national spokesperson and farmer leader

Rakesh Tikait

faced an 'ink attack' in Bangalore during a press meet.
Speaking on the matter, Naresh Tikait said, "They (BJP) have made it quite obvious that no one can talk against the government and its policies. The attack is nothing but vendetta politics. They are not talking of development. In Assam, Chhattisgarh and Jharkhand, what is happening? They are pushing youth towards Naxalism as they are not getting jobs. They are hell bent upon destroying this nation. It was imperative for the Karnataka government to provide security to Rakesh Tikait. This shows the state in a bad light."
The meeting passed a resolution to give a memorandum to all district administrations in UP, showing utter displeasure on the development and demanding inquiry into the matter.
Notably, ever since the organizational split with a large chunk of veteran BKU leaders parting ways with the outfit, Tikait brothers have assumed aggressive stance and have been holding panchayat in different regions of

West UP

, criticizing govt policies and asking farmers to prepare for another farmer agitation as "govt had failed on its promises of law on

MSP

and other issues."
