MUZAFFARNAGAR: A 14-year-old girl was abducted from her house and later allegedly gang-raped by four persons in Titavi area of Muzaffarnagar. The girl was later found with her hands tied from a neighbouring vacant house,

said. Soon a case was registered and all the four accused were arrested and sent to jail. Meanwhile, SSP

has suspended a sub-inspector for negligence in the case.


According to the complaint, the alleged incident took place on late Wednesday night when the girl was alone at home. She was kidnapped by her neighbor Ashish. Later, Ashish and his three friends-Himanshu, Aniket, and Ankit-allegedly raped her and kept her captive in a neighbouring vacant house.

Station house officer (SHO) of Titavi police station Kshitij Kumar said, “We have sent the

minor

girl to district hospital for medical examination. A case has already been registered under sections 376-D (gang rape) and 363 (kidnapping) of Indian Penal Code and also under POCSO Act.” All the accused were produced before a court, which sent them to jail.

In-charge of the police outpost, under which the alleged rape took place, has been suspended for negligence.
