MEERUT:

Bulandshahr

woke up to a sensational murder of three children whose bullet-ridden bodies were found floating in

reservoir

of a tubewell on Saturday morning.

The incident occurred in Faislabad locality of Bulandshahr from where the children went missing but on Saturday morning their bodies were found 15km away in village Dhatoori under Salempur police station.

Several used cartridges have also been found near the site. Bloodstains are seen all over the cane field. According to police, one Salman Malik's name is emerging as the primary accused who nurtured enmity with the family of the deceased children and had threatened them earlier too.

"Primary investigation has revealed Salman Malik was particularly unhappy for not being invited for Roza iftaar organised by the family and he could have abducted children and murdered them brutally. Children went missing at 9.30pm on Friday and family reached Kotwali police station at around midnight. No action was taken at that moment which has tarnished police image and hence I have suspended station SHO Dhruv Bhushan Dubey and constable Ashok Kumar with immediate effect," said N Kolanchi.

Three kids have been identified as Abdul(8), Aasma (7) and Aleeba (8). The deceased bodies have been sent for autopsy and investigations are on. Avdhesh Awasthi, station officer Salempur police station told TOI, "All three have been shot dead and bullet wounds show more than one shot has been fired at these children. Bloodstains were found at several places."

SSP Bulandshahr N Kolanchi has constituted four teams to crack the murder case and arrest the culprit. He has also suspended two cops, including SHO of Bulandshahr Kotwali for dereliction in duty.
