: A 12-year-old
boy
was severely injured when a
wall
of an old empty house caved-in on him as he was passing by it. The boy was taken hospital, where he succumbed to injuries.
After the incident, a large number of residents gathered at the spot to pull him out of the rubble. They said the wall
collapsed due to heavy rain.
The incident took place in Jansath area. Arman Ahmed and his mother were going to the market when they happened to pass by an old house. Suddenly, a wall came crashing down on the boy, who was buried under the rubble.
Residents have sought for compensation for the deceased’s family. “Sub divisional magistrate of Jansath has promised that the family will get some relief,” said Musharraf Ali, a resident.
