Angry with his mother, woman kills 5-yr-old boy

MUZAFFARNAGAR: A 35-year-old woman, Asifa, was arrested in UP's Muzaffarnagar district on Sunday for allegedly killing her neighbour's 5-year-old boy as an "act of revenge" against his mother, Danista Begum. The boy went missing in Tewra on November 11 and his body was found in a sack in a nearby forest on the village outskirts under Kakrauli police limits, three days later.

A senior cop, privy to investigation, said on Sunday, "Asifa admitted to killing Arsalan. The boy was playing outside when she kidnapped him and locked him up in her house. Asifa told police the boy's mother never showed her respect, often humiliated her and barred her from even entering her house." After a thorough search in the village, the boy's father, Shahzad Khan, filed a "missing" complaint at Kakrauli police station.

Local police started investigating and recovered Arsalan’s body. Initially, a case of murder was lodged against an “unknown person”. During investigation, police recovered the boy’s cap, slipper and the rope used to strangle him from Asifa’s house. SHO of Kakrauli, Sunil Kasana, said, “The accused woman was booked under IPC section 302 (murder), among others, and she was sent to jail after being produced in court.” SP (rural), Atul Kumar Srivastava, added, “More evidence is being collected. It’ll be all placed before the court.”
