Amroha man murders sister over land

Bijnor: A 36-year-old man from Nanhera village in Amroha district allegedly murdered his 32-year-old sister over a long-standing dispute over six bighas of land, police said on Tuesday.Police said the crime took place on Monday evening when a heated argument broke out between Sheoraj Singh and Sanyogita Singh over a share in their father's land. In a fit of rage, Sheoraj hit Sanyogita on her head with a sharp weapon, instantly killing her. He then fled along with his wife and children.Amroha SP Amit Kumar Anand said, "Four police teams are conducting raids at various locations to apprehend the accused." Police said Sheoraj is a farmer and Sanyogita a nurse by profession and was unmarried.
