NEW DELHI: Eight individuals suffered burn injuries in an explosion that occurred at an Indian Oil refinery located in Mathura, Uttar Pradesh on Tuesday evening, according to police reports.
Renu Pathak, the Public Relations Officer of the refinery, confirmed that a small fire erupted in the Atmospheric Vacuum Unit (AVU).
"Eight people suffered minor burn injuries. Three have been referred to Apollo Hospital, and five have been sent to the refinery hospital," Pathak said
"Everyone's condition is stable," she stated.
Dr Dinesh Yadav from City Hospital informed that they received four patients with 40-50 per cent burn injuries, and confirmed their conditions were stable.
"Four patients with burn injuries were brought from the refinery. They are stable and receiving treatment," Dr Yadav said.
