MEERUT: A reversing school bus crushed a 6-year-old student to death, following which villagers resorted to violence in a Baghpat-based school on Thursday morning. The school manager was thrashed and stone-pelting also took place. Police forces from various stations rushed to Chandinagar area.
The villagers were not allowing the body to be taken for autopsy. It was only after senior administrative officials reached the spot and pacified the relatives, the police could take custody of the body. FIR has been filed against school manager

During investigation, one anomaly also came to light. The school had permission to operate only from Class VI to VIII but this one was running classes from class Ist.
