55yo man’s body found in Bulandshahr canal; murder suspected

Meerut: A 55-year-old Noida resident, Krishna Kumar, was found dead under suspicious circumstances in a canal in Hasan Garh village under Khurja Dehat police station of Bulandshahr district on Friday, police said.

“Preliminary investigation revealed that the deceased had multiple injury marks on his body, particularly on the neck and head,” said SP (Rural) Antriksh Jain.

“Injury marks suggest the possibility of murder, but we are awaiting the autopsy report for confirmation,” Jain said.

Police said the circumstances under which Kumar reached Khurja remain unclear. Teams are working to trace his last movements and identify possible suspects.

Surajpur SHO Vinod Kumar said the man was missing since April 29 and a complaint had been registered. “He was last seen in Dadri and captured on CCTV. He was alone at that time. The family said he lived an austere life without any enmity with anyone. However, he was depressed about personal health issues. We are investigating the case,” Kumar said.
