NEW DELHI: Four members of a family, including two children, were killed while three others were injured after a speeding car rammed into the rear of a tractor-trolley on Barla-Baseda road in Uttar Pradesh's Muzzafarnagar district, police said on Wednesday.
The accident was reported on Tuesday night, claiming the lives of four individuals from Meerut district: Khushnuma (35), Sania (15), Taiba (3) and Mirha (2).
Three people sustained injuries in the incident and were taken to hospital, where doctors have confirmed their condition is now stable, according to police reports.
The incident took place whilst Juned, one of the injured individuals, was travelling with his family from Kamalpur in Meerut to Gopali village in Saharanpur district for an Eid celebration with their relatives.
A police officer confirmed that they have registered a case and investigations are currently underway.
