3 held for thrashing Kanwariyas in Bijnor
BIJNOR: Police on Friday arrested three persons for allegedly thrashing kanwariyas in Kotwali Dehat police station area of Bijnor.
The incident took place on Thursday evening when kanwariyas Akash Kumar, Rahul, and Anshu were on their way to Haridwar from Lakhimpur Kheri.
Akash, a kanwariya from Shitalapur, filed a complaint against the accused late on Thursday at Nagina police station.

He told the cops that around six persons on three bikes came and started thrashing them after which they fled the spot.
Police have registered a case against unidentified persons under sections 115, 352, 119(2) of BNS. Bijnor SP Abhishek Jha formed three teams to arrest the accused persons. Police teams have checked all CCTV cameras installed at petrol pump and identified three accused as Suhail, Adnaan, and one minor from Majheda Shakru village.
SP Abhishek Jha said, “Police have arrested three assailants on Friday morning. One of them is a minor. He has been kept under police custody. Police have recovered a bike used in the crime. We are interrogating them to ascertain the cause. Besides, the remaining assailants will also be nabbed soon.”
