MEERUT: After UP Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) detained two brothers from Bulandshahr on suspicion of making changes to documents and Aadhaar cards related to Sachin Meena and Pakistan national Seema Haider, the premier investigative agency let them off as no link with Haider could be established.
However, police found evidence of their involvement in tampering with government documents of some other people such as Aadhaar cards and PAN cards. Both were booked and sent to jail. On Sunday, Pushpendra Meena and his brother Pawan, both in their mid-20s, were detained from a public service centre in Ahmadgarh area of Bulandshahr, where both worked. They were taken to the ATS office in Noida’s sector 58 for interrogation. Saad Miya Khan, DCP, Greater Noida, told TOI, “Acting on a tip-off, the two men were picked on suspicion of tampering and producing forged government ID proofs for Haider. Both are Sachin’s cousin brothers and run a public service centre in Bulandshahr. A case has been registered against them and they have been sent to jail.”
