Woman tries to hang self, dies

Mangaluru: A 21-year old-woman who reportedly tried to kill herself by hanging to a ceiling fan, as she was talking to her friend, died on Wednesday.
According to the police, Harshitha from Kolya, whoworked in a vegetable store in the city, was in love with a 23-year-old painter from the same locality. It is suspected that due to some differences between them, as she was talking to him on the phone on Tuesday, she attempted to commit suicide by hanging herself to a fan.The boy, aware of her act, rushed to her house and then got the girl admitted to a hospital. She was in the ICU ward and died on Wednesday. Based on the complaint, an unnatural death report has been registered.
