Will strengthen BJP in Karnataka: Nalin Kumar Kateel

MANGALURU: Newly elected BJP state president Nalin Kumar Kateel said the party will be strengthened through discipline and organisation.
This is Kateel’s first visit to Mangaluru after taking charge as the party president. Dakshina Kannada district BJP unit felicitated the MP at TV Raman Pai Hall on Thursday.
“Dakshina Kannada will be a model for party organisation.I will travel across the state to strengthen the party and will live up to the expectation of party workers,” he said, adding that he will function under the guidance of the RSS, chief minister BS Yediyurappa and other senior leaders of the party. Special attention will be given to the old Mysuru region, he said.
Referring to Sullia MLA S Angara, who was expecting a ministerial berth, Kateel said, ‘Despite winning six times, the MLA has been humble and is never involved in factionalism. He never approached anyone for a seat.”
Nalin appealed to people to help flood victims instead of spending money on flowers and garlands to felicitate him.
BASIC PHONE SET
When top BJP leaders are active on social media, party’s state president Nalin Kumar Kateel said he uses only a basic mobile phone. “In case I have committed a mistake, come to my chamber and speak to me. Don’t scold me on WhatsApp, Facebook and Twitter. I only have a basic handset”.
