Virasat Award for Dayanand Pai, 14 others

MOODBIDRI: Philanthropist P Dayanand Pai is among 15 achievers who will be conferred the Alva's Vishwa Nudisiri Virasat Award. Others are H S Venkatesh Murthy, D K Chowta, Hiremagalur Kannan, Mudnakodu Chinnaswamy, T N Seetharam, B M Hegde, Fakeer Mohammad Katpady, Jayanth Kaikini, Uma Kulkarni, Kamala Hampana, Na Mogasale, Kumble Sundar Rao, and Basel Mission, Mangalore, and Karnataka Sangha, Shimoga.
The awards will be conferred at the valedictory function of the four-day Alva's Vishwa Nudisiri Virasat to be held here on December 22. The award consists of Rs 25,000, a citation and a memento, said Dr M Mohan Alva, chairman, Alva's Education Foundation, and co-working president of the reception committee of the event. M Veerappa Moily, Union minister for petroleum and natural gas, will deliver the valedictory address.
