E Ahamed, Union minister of state for railways will flag off train No. 2653/2654 Tiruchirappalli - Mangalore Central - Tiruchirappalli Weekly Super Fast Express at 10.30 am on September 27 at Tiruchirappalli.
Inaugural special train will start at 10.30 am and reach Mangalore Central at 11.55 pm on the same day. The trains will have a composition of one AC two-tier, two AC three-tier, 11 sleeper class, two general second class and two luggage-cum-brake vans.
As a regular service train 2653 Tiruchirappalli to Mangalore Weekly Super Fast Express leave Tiruchirappalli at 6 pm on all Saturdays commencing from October 2 and reach Mangalore Central at 5.25 am on Sundays.
Stoppages and departure timings at stoppages (in bracket) are as follows: Karur junction (7.20 pm), Erode (8.25 pm), Tiruppur (9.10 pm), Podhannur (10.10 pm), Palakkad (11.10 pm), Shoranur (11.55 pm), Kozhikode (1.30 am, Sunday) and Kannur (3 am).
In the return direction, regular service of train 2654 Mangalore Central to Tiruchirappalli Weekly Super Fast Express will start at 8.45 pm on Sundays commencing from October 3 and reach Tiruchirappalli at 8.15 am on Monday. Departure timings at stations are given in bracket: Kannur (10.55 am), Kozhikode (12.30 am, Monday), Shoranur (2.05 am), Palakkad (2.50 am), Podhanur (4 am), Tiruppur (4.35 am), Erode (5.25 am), and Karur (6.25 am).
