Two wheeler rider killed in accident

Mangaluru: A two-wheeler rider died when a KSRTC bus hit his vehicle at Kotesaru in Kaikamba on the Subrahmanya-Uppinangady state highway on Monday. The deceased is Vinyas, a resident of Cheru.
According to police, when the bus reached near an under-construction bridge, it is alleged that the driver, Dundappa, drove negligently toward the right side of the road and hit the two-wheeler. Though the injured was rushed to the Kadaba govt hospital, doctors who examined him declared him dead. A case was registered at Kadaba station.
Case booked against triple riding
Udupi: Based on visuals that have gone viral, Manipal police registered a case for triple riding. It is learnt that on March 8, at 10pm, a person identified as Shashank was seen riding a scooter in a rash and negligent manner near Tiger Circle in Shivalli village, Udupi taluk, with Rohan and Dona as pillion riders. The visuals of this act have been circulating on social media. Based on this, a case was registered against Shashank at Manipal police station.
