More than 90% relative humidity has been recorded in 52% geographical area in the state. Less than 25% of relative humidity has been recorded in 0% geographical area in the state. Rainfall over the state is considered as isolated since 22% of hoblis and gram panchayats recorded rainfall equal to 2.5mm. Rather heavy rain was recorded in 32 gram panchayats; moderate rain in 424 gram panchayats; light rain in 348 gram panchayats; very light rain in 974 gram panchayats; and no rainfall in remaining 3,367 GPs across the state.
Karnataka for the period from July 22 to July 28 recorded deficit rainfall of 57%. Against normal weighted average rainfall of 64mm in south-interior, north-interior, malnad and coastal parts, state recorded rainfall of 28mm. For 24-hours period ending 8.30am on July 28, four geographical regions received 3mm actual weighted average rainfall against normal weighted average rainfall of 9mm, a 69% deficit departure from weighted-average normal.
