Terror suspect recovering

Mangaluru: Mohammed Shariq, the suspect in the Mangaluru blast case, is recovering and responding to treatment, said police sources. Shariq sustained 45% burns in the blast that was reported on November 19.A cooker bomb that Shariq was carrying, had exploded in a moving autorickshaw at Nagori in the city. Based on the complaint filed by the autorickshaw driver Purushothama, a case was booked under various IPC sections, along with the Explosive Substances Act, at the Kankanady Town police station. The Centre had directed the NIA to take up the investigation into the Mangaluru blast case on November 23. tnn
